Planex developed a foldable membrane for a hotel complex in Kazakhstan. When unfolded, the foldable membrane perfectly adapts to the hemispherical shape of the glass dome. When folded up, the membrane only needs little space.

The room below the glass dome is an event venue. The acoustically effective material of the foldable membrane provides for good room acoustics. On the touch of a button initiating the moving mechanism, the room can be darkened almost completely.
