Membrane Structures

Due to their lightweight construction and their great variety of shapes, membranes are ideally suited for extensive roof constructions, facade elements, or mobile constructions.

A three-dimensional membrane serves as a shade sail and weather protection roofing.

In recent years, new areas of application have developed for membrane structures due to new, powerful materials. Membranes are characterized by their mostly three-dimensional and complex shape which, in combination with masts, ropes and arches, can span large areas. Even air-supported membrane constructions are possible (please refer to Projects > Air-supported Membrane).
