Sound Protection
As an expert in sound protection issues, Planex has already provided sound protection solutions for many satisfied customers. One of our strenghts is retrofitting existing buildings with sound protection products.
The requirements for sound protection in industry are quite different from those in commercial and publicly-used buildings. In many industry applications, the mobility of sound protection solutions is important, whereas in public or commercial buildings great importance is attached to aesthetical considerations. We have divided those two fields of applications in two categories:
Sound Protection for Industry >>
- Sound insulating partitions: blocking the sound waves of individual sound sources
For example, encapsulating a loud machine to protect the nearby employees from the noise. - Acoustics improvement in factory buildings through absoption
In contrast to sound insulation, no individual sound sources or sound waves are blocked, but sound reflections from bare walls and ceilings are absorbed.
Room Acoustics >>
- Improvement of Room Acoustics
In premises with many plain surfaces, intense acoustic reflections occur. This is often an issue in public or commercial buildings like swimming pools, schools, shopping centres, or exhibition spaces. In those cases, room acoustics can be improved considerably by means of sound-absorbing measures.
